Question:
What to do with a teen that wants a tatoo
Answer:
- this is a great story -- regardless of whether it's about
tattoos or not; it's about doing something you really, really
want to do. It can be so liberating, as your MIL found out.
BTW, I used to be afraid of needles too and thought I'd never
have the guts to get a tattoo. I found out it's not that bad at
all. Obviously there are some spots that are more sensitive than
others. The one on the inside of my ankle was a bit trickier
than, say, the one on my stomach. The bigger one on my lower
back was a piece of cake...2 hours to do and I was bored silly.
If you'd like any more info, email me.
-Yes, isn't it odd how different areas are sensitive? My DH (who
stood by me for 3 years while I was getting tattoos and finally
decided to get one himself) got his on his left shoulder blade.
It took a little over 2 hours and is absolutely gorgeous, but I
don't think I could have done it in that spot! His reaction? No
big deal.
FWIW, he *loves* his tattoo, has never regretted it, but will
probably be one of the few I've known who is content to stop at
one. Oh, and he was 40 when he got it done.
-This is a two-way street. While you would never consider someone
with a tattoo as marriage material, someone with a tattoo would
probably be so offended by your prejudices that he would
eliminate you from his potential wife list as well.
