Question:
Our state health dept lady asked me a question I can't answer hopefully
someone can help me. She has received some questions from various countys
about "acid burn" tattooing. I can imagine the rudimentary idea of it but
what are actual procedures and chemicals. Who is doing it etc, URLs??
Is it a kind of poormans dermabrasion?
Answer:
- YES, some tattoo artists mainly in the UK offer tattoo removal by using
caustic substances instead of ink.
It would not surprise me if some weasle is trying to get artsy fartsy
effects as well.
The end result looks like a burn (no shit sherlock)
I have seen a recipe for it from a well known artist and vendor of equipment
in the UK. It was scary stuff.
It should be outlawed, in my personal opinion. You could simply specify
that all materials used in a tattoo must be within a certain amount of
neutral PH.
- I'm agin "outlawing' anything that harms no-one but yourself in general, but
I don't have to insure it.
I envision the procedure being one of painting on hydros or hydroc or some
such to actually burn the skin in a pattern. But have not heard or seen
anything anywhere. search all the engines and pages I can find.
- this guy is actually tattooing it into the skin?!?!?!?!
well at least he's using "lighter" acids than I was thinking about. Although
as I think about it a light dilute application of tannic might give some
interesting effects, but you go first and tell me about it ok?
