Question:
If anyone has any idea about how the police
will pursue this, it would greatly put my mind at rest.
I know it's not a good idea to get that drunk in the first place - but
surely what happened to my lad is a criminal offense? From what I've
read about surgical tattoo removal, there is a risk of being scarred
for life - either way, his appearance has most probably been
permanently ruined by the actions of mindless louts.
I really DO feel for your son as this is totally unacceptable and the
tattooist will lose his license as well as your son will be scarred for life
too.
Surgical Tattoo Removal...Help?
Answer:
- Not necessarily. There's an old sailor's technique for getting rid of
tattoos that quick, safe, painless and doesn't leave a scar. It's been
written up in the various medical journals on a number of occasions but
for some reason hasn't found favour with the medical profession - maybe
because they couldn't charge anything like as much for it as they do for
surgical or laser removal.
- It's certainly assualt. It's one thing to write HIT ME on the groom's
forehead in marker pen, but a permanant tattoo is just criminal
(literally).
I would also ring NHS direct or visit http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/ NOW to
get advice. Depending on the type of ink used there are ways it can be
removed before the mordants in the ink act and the quicker the better. As a
chemist I know how I'd get rid of the ink but your's sons' forehead would
object to my methods. I'm sure the docs will have better advice.
