Laser Tattoo Removal Price, help!!?

Question:
Laser Tattoo Removal Price, help!!? My girl have a tattoo on her back and she wants to remove it. The only way to remove that i know is by Laser. Here, in Brazil, the price of a laser session starts at US$ 500,00. We are very scared with the prices and we would like to know if another way exists to remove this tattoo, like a cream or something.

Answer:
- hate to say it but theres no real way to remove it ..you get a scar with the laser and well theres no cream that would make it disapear..get it covered up with another tat that she likes and less damage is done..in the first place you should take a cupple months to think about a tat befor you ever get it its going to be with you for the rest of you life. i got mine after 2 eyars of thinking about it and i dont regret it.

- Correctly done, tattoo removal by laser will *not* leave scars.

- So, you haven't regretted your tattoo yet, eh? And you've had it for what, all of 4 days now? Why don't you get back to us in 5 or 10 years and let us know if you still like it

- I work in a tattoo studio. I don't tattoo; I make appointments, work the counter. Laser surgery done in the past few years are a LOT better than those done even five years ago. Scarring is minimal if it exists at all.

When I worked for pathologists, the dermatopathologists often came to me not only for their office needs, but to chat. (One professor worked under the pathologist upon whom Pat Cornwell based Kay Scarpetta... we talked books a lot.) She is the source I cite for the above.

I can't guarantee that the following site didn't alter it's photographs, but the Before & After pix look really good.

One of the artists at the shop at which I work had some work removed by laser. He still has a few more sessions to go. The skin is light but certainly doesn't look scarred.

Dermatology Associates/Cosmetic Laser Associates of San Diego County, Inc., say they are one of the most respected and well-known dermatology/laser institutions in the world. They say, "Studies show that as many as 90 percent of people with tattoos want them removed. The development of highly specialized lasers has made this possible, without scarring. " That said, I really don't like the idea of getting a tattoo knowing that one can get rid of it, since it is a commitment. Kinda like getting married knowing that you can get divorced. Just doesn't seem right somehow...

Finally, here is a link to an FDA report, Erasing "Skin Marks with Lasers", by Ricki Lewis, Ph.D. Included in the report, discussing "...treatments for benign (noncancerous) skin lesions possible with lasers extend beyond birthmarks, to include liver spots, spider veins, residual redness following plastic surgery on the nose, and even tattoo removal" is included "When used by physicians who are trained in the use of a laser, results can be quite dramatic. But in less well-trained hands, a laser can cause damage and scarring, just as traditional surgery or scraping
