| Japanese/Chinese Tattoos |
Question:
Does anybody know of a good website with pictures of Japanese and Chinese
tattoos? Preferrably characters/symbols. Thanks for any info!
Answer: - The health food store down the street from my acupuncturist carries chopsticks
for about $2.95 a pair. (I buy them for my hair; they're much nicer than the
hair ones at the mall) Some of them have beautiful work that looks as tho it
was painted with a single-hair brush. Pagodas, lettering, etc. I wouldn't
choose it for a tattoo for myself, but it's certainly beautiful. Very
delicate, to give you another idea, if that's what you're looking for.
- I have always been a big fan of restaurant menus myself.
Go to a good Chinese or Japanese Restaurant... Check it out. There is
usually a really cool dragon on the cover and more chinese/japanese
characters than you can shake a stick at. Who cares what they mean... they
do look cool.
Chop stick covers are also pretty neat.
If you prefer a more cartoony style, I recommend japanese wind up toys.
Something more formal and techno? Matsushita multi-lingual instructions
have always been a hit with me. Also the stickers in the engine
compartment of a subaru.
Web sites? You just have to down load a font to see them. Total pain.
Anyway, here is a japanese web site with japanese characters:
